MONDAY AND TUESDAY

Finally the team gathered together in Ankara and concluded the first day of the shoot.

Richard Ross, Andrew Papadopoulos, William Aylward, Peter Cowasji, James Ashcroft, Ahmet Gunlu and Tufan Turanli arrived in Ankara on Monday, it was snowing heavily in contrast to the
sunny and fair weather forecast. What is new!

Needless to say, everyone was very exhausted and half of the team had a good dose of jet lag, even though no body seemed to admit it.

Tuesday was a good day. Weather was fine, apparently team slept well and we headed straight to the Anatolian Civilizations Museum in the
center of the town. Prof. Cem Karasu and his assistant, Associate Prof. Savas Ozkan Savas, our experts of the day, joined us shortly
after our arrival to the museum.

The shoot went well. William took the role of the inquiring scholar and Prof. Karasu and Prof. Savas answered William's questions and explained in detail the meaning of the Bogazkoy tablets.

The images of the shoot, thanks to Jim and Peter, looked splendid through the monitor.

Wednesday is the day of travel to Troy. I am writing at 6:30 am in a hurry because in half an hour we are starting our 7 hour journey. Hopefully we will get to Troy early enough so we can do both scouting and hopefully do some beauty shots.
